so. yesterday we had a lab in science and i thought it was pretty cool. we had something like jelly called agarose and some dye. we poured the hot agarose into a tray and waited for it to harden. we then used a MICROPIPET to put the dye into little wells. NEXT, we placed the tray into the gel box and turned to voltage to 100. as the gel box heated... the dye started moving... so cool. yea... thats all. :P

Up above is the link to the interesting article i found. This article discusses about the neurons in a mouse are colored and why its called BRAINBOW. Researchers operated with neurons in mice so they could light them up in "a rainbow of flourescent hues".
This was a way to map out the brain's "complicated writing plan''. This BRAINBOW was created so researchers, scientists and others to find and detect neurons all around the nervous system- also permitting them in getting undiscoverd information about its organization and role.
I chose this article because this is something that is very useful now and probably in the future. I am not totally sure about what is going on in brains but i know that neurons are some complicated nerve cells. If just coloring the stuff in the brain will assist people in understanding the concept, we will learn new stuff and maybe it might even have a connection with OUR OWN BRAIN. :D
P.S i loaded pictures... but it doesnt work..
